Torno in Italia in due settimane.

I return to Italia and Montepulciano in two weeks. I can’t wait. I try to live in questo momento, but I keep thinking about my trip and looking forward to it, making mental lists of what to pack.

I fly out after work on Friday, March 9 and arrive in Rome, via Amsterdam, at 4:30 pm Saturday, March 10. I’ll be staying here in Trastevere, the “Left Bank” of Rome:20140317-063049.jpg

The next morning I take the train to Chiusi and then a taxi to Montepulciano because the buses don’t run on Sunday.

I’ll stay two weeks with Giacomo and Maria Stuart at the Politian Apartments, this time The Black Tea: https://www.politian.com/en/apartments/black-tea.html

I’ll be taking two weeks of classes at my Italian school, Il Sasso. So far eleven other students have signed up, so even though it’s not the summer high season, there will still be many activities after class to participate in.

I return to Rome on Saturday, March 24, staying at the same place, and fly back on March 25.

  1. Sara, I’m so excited on your behalf! Did you see the Instagram photo of Montepulciano in the snow today, put up by Politian apartments? And do you mind sharing where you are staying in Rome?

  2. Sara, just saw that you included a link to the Air bnb. Thank you!

I saw the one she posted looking out the window, but just saw the new one. It’s beautiful, but I hope the snow is gone before I get there! I’m looking forward to being there when it’s not so hot as it was in July.

    I’m very jealous. Have fun!

You and Alex can meet me (us) there some time. Now I have to study so I won’t disappoint my Italian teachers!

Sara—I am so happy for you that you are going back to Montepulciano and resuming your language studies! The Politian apartment looks wonderful! I can’t wait to see your blog! I am so sorry it took me so long to respond—we returned on Saturday night from Paris—went with Matt and Inna for the week. I am getting my travel mojo back………

  7. So good to hear from you! Paris for the week with your son and daughter-in-law. Sounds wonderful! Was it cold? I’m a little weary of the weather since I keep seeing snow shots of Montepulciano. Still, it will be better than the extreme heat of last summer. I’m a bit stressed as I leave straight from work Friday, but piano, piano, as my Italian teachers say, slowly, step by step, I will get it all done. : )

Just getting around to replying—I am so sorry! Didn’t see your responses. It was VERY cold in Paris! I can imagine that by now, you are really tired of the weather…….I don’t know why, but it seems as though Italy should always be sunny and warm, right????
