Dinner with Barbara at EatWith

We had SO MUCH FUN tonight at Barbara’s party on her bella terrezza this evening. We walked across Ponte Sisto to Trastevere, and it was so happening. When we left at 12:30 am, the streets were packed with people! Oh my! Barbara is so welcoming and remembered us from two years ago, especially Caroline. She remembered that her daughter is Caroline’s age and called herself Caroline’s second mother because she took care of her while Richard and I were stuck in Chicago due to tornadoes. She is one of those quintessential cooks and hostesses that makes everyone feel loved and welcome. As a result, her good will is infectious. What was also remarkable: her two friends that were with us two years ago were here again tonight. Charlie and  Gabrieli Altobelli (the Johnny Depp of Italy!) whose new movie won all kinds of awards and made Barbara cry. It comes out in the US in August: American Fango.

Here are some photos of our lovely evening!

Sara–what a delightful evening! I’d love to hear more about what you ate–thought I saw crostini of some sort…..

Barbara does have the ideal terrazzo–how many diners were there?

    All in all–una sera bellissima!!
