Ieri Sera

After our big adventure, we returned home exhausted and took a true Italian pausa or nap. This evening Sandra prepared the most delicious feast of pasta carbonara and an arugula salad with pears and gorgonzola. The arugula that she bought from the local grocery store had the spiciest flavor, better than any arugula I have ever tasted. After dinner we wandered to find some gelato and the only place open was Poliziano, where we get our coffee every morning. We sat out on the balcony with beautiful views, listening to the piano played by a thirteen-year-old boy. By ear he played Bohemian Rhapsody and What A Wonderful World. He was amazing, and it was just so beautiful. A perfect end to a perfect evening.

What a lovely dinner you had! Pasta carbonara is one of my favorites! And, the most perfect dessert? Gelato, of course!! Perfect evening!
